Senior Product Developer

About the role

We are partnering with an ambitious, fast‑growing consumer‑products business to find a Senior Product Developer who will shape the next generation of products for major retail and customer accounts. This hands‑on, highly creative role blends retail passion, commercial awareness and the ability to drive projects from concept through launch.

Key responsibilities

• Research trends, retail markets and competitor activity to generate fresh product ideas.
• Lead development of new products from concept to customer‑ready launch, including prototype review and presentation to customers.
• Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners, create briefs, source components and negotiate costs to meet target margins.
• Ensure sustainability, compliance and IP considerations are met throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage product specifications, artwork workflows and pre‑production approvals, coordinating with production teams to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Commercially minded and highly creative with a passion for innovation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and mentor junior team members.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, comfortable presenting ideas to stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused and commercially aware.
