Senior Production Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead production at a historic, family‑owned food manufacturer specialising in traditional bakery products. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of high‑quality goods while driving continuous improvement across multiple lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production and packaging operations to meet quality and output targets.
• Plan and deliver production schedules aligned with demand, resources and maintenance requirements.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste and enhance performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Manage a team of approximately 40 staff across several production lines.

Required profile

• 8+ years of production or manufacturing leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards, audits and compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to engage, develop and motivate production teams.
• Results‑driven mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience in the bakery sector is advantageous.
