Senior Product/Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Clearspace is looking for a Senior Product/Quality Assurance Engineer to join its London team. You will ensure that every mission and product meets the highest safety, reliability and performance standards, working across design, risk assessment and AIV phases.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of Clearspace’s Quality Management System (QMS) to meet project and regulatory requirements.
• Provide hands‑on PA/QA support from early planning through launch and operations.
• Define and apply internal “ClearSpace Standards” and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and operations to implement quality processes and resolve issues.
• Monitor compliance with ISO9001, EN9100 and contribute to certification activities.
• Participate in internal audits, reviews and inspections, identifying improvement areas.
• Contribute to risk management by identifying quality risks and supporting mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Extensive product/quality assurance experience in the space sector.
• Proven leadership in managing quality standards, process improvements and regulatory compliance for space missions.
• Direct involvement in design, manufacture and qualification of spaceflight hardware.
• Experience in supplier management and company‑wide risk management.
• Experience leading teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and EN9100 standards.
• Familiarity with ECSS standards and their application.
• Expertise in maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Understanding of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety).
• Knowledge of radiation effects, EEE parts and materials/processes for space hardware.
