Senior Project Manager

About the role

Essentia, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major capital projects across its estate. You will oversee large‑scale refurbishment and infrastructure programmes that transform healthcare provision in London.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, procurement and delivery of capital projects, often exceeding £50 million in value.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships across clinical and non‑clinical services.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.
• Oversee refurbishment works in complex, operational healthcare environments.
• Monitor project performance, risks and reporting to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large refurbishment or capital projects in a complex estate setting.
• Strong background in stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional coordination.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse NHS partners.
• Experience managing projects in live, operational healthcare environments is advantageous.
