Senior Project Planner

About the role

The client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to lead planning and programming activities on major construction and civil engineering projects. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from tender and pre‑construction through to on‑site delivery, ensuring robust, achievable schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction methodologies and programmes for pre‑construction and construction phases.
• Establish and manage the critical path, applying resource allocation and levelling techniques.
• Review and analyse programme performance, producing regular updates for project reporting.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, statutory authorities, utility providers and design consultants to integrate all requirements into the schedule.
• Implement contractual programme submissions and communicate any issues impacting delivery.
• Present project sequencing and programme information at both detailed and high‑level formats.

Required profile

• Background in construction or civil engineering.
• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling on large‑scale bids and construction contracts.
• Ability to lead planning activities, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate effectively across all project phases.
