About the role

We are looking for a Senior Python Software Engineer to join a leading global market maker. You will work on one of the world’s most powerful trading platforms, partnering with business leaders to deliver high‑performance, custom software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy elegant Python‑based software components.
• Analyze complex technical problems and optimise performance, functionality and stability of the trading platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define priorities and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Maintain and improve Linux‑based distributed systems used across the firm.

Required profile

• Strong passion for technology and software development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving trading environment.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a top‑tier university.
• Professional experience with distributed systems; not a fresh graduate.

Required skills

• Deep‑level Python experience.
• Linux systems knowledge.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Familiarity with C++, kdb, SQL, machine‑learning techniques and statistical methods (desirable).
