Senior Research Scientist, Health Economic Modelling

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist with expertise in building health economic models in R to join our Evidence Synthesis and Decision Modelling team. You will work with health economists, statisticians and researchers on innovative HEOR projects for pharma and biotech clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program, and document cost‑effectiveness simulation models in R and Excel/VBA from concept to delivery.
• Produce client‑ready deliverables, including analysis plans, model results, sensitivity analyses and technical reports.
• Present progress and findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Manage project timelines, coordinate with diverse team members and ensure timely delivery of components.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in health economics, statistics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience, preferably in a consulting environment serving biotech, pharmaceutical or healthcare clients.
• Proven ability to interpret clinical and health‑economic studies and lead simulation‑based cost‑effectiveness analyses.
• Strong analytical reasoning, problem‑solving and multi‑tasking skills.

Required skills

• Advanced R programming for health‑economic simulation modelling.
• Expertise in Excel and VBA programming.
• Proficiency with version control tools such as Git/GitHub.
• Experience with Python, C++ and R packages like hesim, shiny, Rcpp (preferred).
