Senior Security Analyst

About the role

Monzo is looking for a proactive, technically‑curious Senior Security Analyst to join its Security team. You will work across the business to assess supplier risk, support audits, improve governance and help embed security into product development while keeping the customer experience frictionless.

Key responsibilities

• Assess third‑party security posture, review questionnaires, certifications and provide risk‑based recommendations.
• Lead security assurance activities such as PCI DSS assessments, regulatory reviews and internal/external audits.
• Improve security policies, procedures and controls to make them practical and proportionate.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams and procurement to translate security and regulatory requirements into actionable controls.
• Use data, automation and AI to streamline security processes and increase scalability.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of security risk and ability to recommend proportionate mitigations.
• Proactive, independent worker who can manage competing priorities and communicate clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience evaluating security evidence such as questionnaires, policies, penetration test reports and assurance artifacts.
• Passion for continuous learning in cyber‑security and ability to mentor less‑experienced analysts.
