Senior Software Engineer

About the role

MDA Space is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop on‑board software and ground‑test software for its space payloads. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to turn ambitious mission concepts into reliable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify C/C++ software for spacecraft payloads.
• Develop ground‑test software and automated test cases to validate functionality.
• Document software architecture, APIs, and design decisions for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with validation, hardware, and mission teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Estimate resources and schedule delivery of end‑to‑end software solutions.
• Travel to partner locations as needed to support project objectives.
