Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)

About the role

We are looking for a senior software engineer to design, build and operate reliable, scalable and maintainable financial workflow systems using TypeScript and Node.js. You will join a cross‑functional squad that owns end‑to‑end product domains and will be responsible for the full software lifecycle, from architecture through to operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and operations colleagues in a domain‑aligned squad.
• Design, implement and run services within your domain, ensuring they meet SLAs.
• Maintain and extend documentation for your services.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement while balancing “good enough” decisions.
• Mentor and guide other engineers.
• Communicate with non‑technical stakeholders about the Seccl system.

Required profile

• Own services from design through operation in a build‑and‑run model.
• Strong ability to translate business and customer problems into efficient, scalable solutions.
• Experience building financial systems with multi‑region or multi‑currency complexity (preferred).
• Comfort with on‑call responsibilities and incident management.

Required skills

• Node.js with TypeScript
• Amazon Web Services (AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, API Gateway, S3, ECS/Fargate)
• Serverless architecture and Serverless Framework
• MongoDB document database
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform
• CI/CD using GitHub Actions
• Incident management tools (e.g., incident.io)
• Experience with C# services (optional)
