Senior TechOps Engineer

About the role

Momentum Corporate Services is seeking a Senior TechOps Engineer to join its Technical Operations team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for maintaining regulated platforms within a 24/7 NOC environment, ensuring system reliability, rapid incident response, and compliance with security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build, operate, and support UAT and production environments on Microsoft Azure.
• Perform hands‑on RHEL administration, including hardening, patching, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Act as senior escalation point for L2/L3 production incidents, driving root‑cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Support and troubleshoot Java microservices built on Spring Boot and diagnose JVM‑level performance issues.
• Maintain service‑to‑service communication frameworks such as Dubbo, including service discovery and client‑side load balancing.
• Drive security vulnerability remediation across OS, middleware, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Security, SOC, and NOC teams on incident response and post‑incident reviews.
• Mentor L1 engineers and ensure quality handover and resolution.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation and manage incidents, problems, and changes using Jira Service Management.
• Build and maintain runbooks, dashboards, and operational documentation.
• Improve platform reliability through automation, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in TechOps, Infrastructure, SRE, or Production Operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proven track record supporting Java microservices and middleware platforms in production.
• Advanced experience with Elasticsearch and JVM observability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Python scripting.
• Solid incident management and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Business‑level proficiency in English; Mandarin or Chinese is a plus.
