Senior/Lead Pension Data Specialist

About the role

IPS Group is seeking a Senior/Lead Pension Data Specialist to act as the subject‑matter expert for UK Defined Benefit pension data. You will shape strategy, guide multiple projects and ensure data quality across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) projects and related data migrations.
• Audit pension data, benefits calculations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee bulk data rectification and benefit (re‑)construction (Barber) initiatives.
• Drive data cleansing, improve electronic data stores and support derisking & liability projects.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that provide insight into pension liabilities and performance.
• Manage several workstreams simultaneously, providing clear guidance to colleagues and clients.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with UK Defined Benefit pensions.
• Proven ability to run multiple projects/workstreams in a complex environment.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex strategies to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Senior‑level expertise, capable of influencing strategy and decision‑making.
