Site Manager – Capital Works Kitchen & Bathroom Projects

About the role

Mears Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead its Capital Works Kitchen and Bathroom replacement programme for social housing. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality refurbishments across occupied and void properties, ensuring safety, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day delivery of kitchen and bathroom replacement projects.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and specialist trades, coordinating plumbing, electrical, flooring, plastering, tiling, decorating and ventilation works.
• Monitor progress through site inspections, programme reviews and quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety legislation and client specifications.
• Manage site health and safety systems, conduct audits, toolbox talks and address any issues promptly.
• Control material deliveries, site logistics and resource allocation to meet programme targets.
• Liaise with residents to minimise disruption and provide excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction or refurbishment projects in the housing sector.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and building regulations.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractor performance.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
