Site Manager – New 191‑unit Residential Scheme

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a brand‑new 191‑unit residential development in St Albans, Hertfordshire. The role involves overseeing the full construction lifecycle from piling and foundations through to completion, ensuring programme, quality and safety targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the overseeing Project Manager and support day‑to‑day site operations.
• Provide clear direction to the on‑site construction team on responsibilities and targets.
• Manage critical paths for labour, materials and plant, including material lead times.
• Ensure the development is built to specification, programme and quality standards.
• Produce accurate regular progress reports and control non‑productive and prelim costs.
• Drive quality at every construction stage and ensure successful internal and external inspections.
• Maintain full compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Approve stage completions and payments to subcontractors.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager, No 2 or experienced Assistant Site Manager.
• Background working on reinforced concrete (RC) frame projects is an advantage.
• Experience on an NHBC/LABC award‑winning team.
• CSCS card, First Aid certification and scaffold awareness.
