Site Manager – Temporary (June–Sept 2026)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Site Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Esplanade venue during a temporary contract from June to September 2026. Working closely with the Venue Coordinator and Deputy Site Managers, you will ensure a safe, secure and smoothly run environment for both show and non‑show days.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain site security by controlling public access, coordinating vehicle entry and handing over the site to security teams each evening.
• Conduct daily health‑and‑safety checks, log incidents in Safety Culture and manage emergency procedures such as fire alarms.
• Oversee site logistics including waste management, event signage, equipment storage, and preparation of show‑day areas.
• Manage Site Assistants and Deputy Site Managers, create rotas, handle absences and produce HR reports.
• Ensure contractors receive proper inductions, risk assessments and adhere to site rules.
• Support the Production Manager and facilities team to deliver a positive customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven supervision or management experience in stewarding, event or site management.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and its practical application.
• Approachable, confident and able to build positive working relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Over 18 years of age and able to perform manual handling tasks.
