Site Works (Facilities) Manager

About the role

Lead and coordinate on‑site activities to ensure safe, efficient delivery of works at RAF Brize Norton. Oversee engineers and subcontractors, manage work orders and site safety processes, and maintain accurate Health & Safety paperwork.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site activities, workflows and resources to meet programme milestones.
• Raise, prioritise and close work orders; track progress and escalate issues.
• Supervise and coordinate engineers, trade teams and subcontractors; allocate tasks and monitor performance.
• Conduct routine site safety checks and toolbox talks; enforce safe systems of work.
• Complete and maintain Health & Safety documentation, permits, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and site registers.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and client‑specific safety standards.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and stakeholder teams to resolve site issues and provide progress updates.
• Report site performance, incidents and near‑misses; implement corrective actions.
• Support resource planning, materials requisition and site housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• BPSS clearance.
• Proven experience managing site works and supervising engineering/trade teams.
• Strong organisational ability and experience with health & safety processes.
• Desirable: Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) or Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification; IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
