Social & Community Manager

About the role

The Social & Community Manager will shape and expand EMJ’s digital presence for healthcare professionals, turning social channels into vibrant, two‑way communities. You will own a data‑driven social and brand strategy that builds trust, boosts visibility, and deepens engagement across global HCP audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑platform social growth plan to increase reach, followers, and engagement among healthcare professionals.
• Maintain consistent brand tone and positioning across all social channels, ensuring credibility within the healthcare publishing space.
• Design platform‑specific content pillars and storytelling frameworks that translate editorial and scientific material into compelling, native formats.
• Lead proactive community engagement through comment monitoring, social listening, and direct interaction.
• Manage employee personal‑branding programmes to amplify thought leadership and create a cohesive external narrative.
• Guide creative direction for visual and messaging consistency across campaigns and employee‑generated content.
• Build and oversee an influencer and external advocate programme, recruiting HCP voices and industry experts.
• Monitor sentiment and safeguard brand reputation within professional communities.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of proven experience in social media strategy, brand management, or audience/community growth.
• Strong understanding of social platform dynamics, algorithms, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex editorial or scientific content into engaging social narratives.
• Experience working with healthcare professional audiences is preferred.
