Social Media Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Coordinator to join the communications team of a well‑established international organisation based in Greater Manchester. The role combines organic and paid social media management with data‑driven optimisation to grow our online communities and support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and publish engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and YouTube.
• Manage organic and paid social campaigns to boost engagement, reach, brand awareness and conversions.
• Monitor channels, respond to enquiries and comments, and maintain a positive online presence.
• Build relationships with supporters, influencers and online communities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop digital content and maintain content calendars.
• Analyse performance using Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite and Hootsuite; produce reports and recommendations.
• Track industry trends, competitor activity and emerging platforms to identify opportunities.
• Support optimisation of paid social spend to ensure strong return on advertising spend.
• Work with creative teams to produce high‑quality social assets.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in social media or digital marketing.
• Proven track record of managing both organic and paid campaigns.
• Strong understanding of major social platforms and their advertising tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects against deadlines.
• Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
• Experience reporting against KPIs and optimising campaigns.
