Social Media Executive – Digital Team

About the role

The Social Media Executive will support the day‑to‑day execution of Chelsea FC Men’s social media output across global channels. Working from Stamford Bridge, you will publish content, create simple graphics, edit short‑form video and help the team deliver engaging matchday coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Publish and schedule content on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and WhatsApp.
• Support live matchday coverage with real‑time updates, clips and reactive posts.
• Create simple, on‑brand graphics using Photoshop and edit short‑form video using basic editing tools.
• Monitor trends, review competitor channels and propose fresh ideas.
• Drive traffic to the club’s website and app, promote merchandise, ticketing and partner campaigns.
• Write clear captions and calls‑to‑action that encourage fan engagement and data capture.
• Collaborate with designers, video editors and the wider digital team to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Assist with weekly content planning, tagging, caption writing and quality checks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in digital/social media publishing and content production.
• Basic proficiency with Photoshop (or similar) and video editing software.
• Strong awareness of social media trends, formats and platform updates.
• Ability to write compelling copy and work to agreed KPIs.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
