Software Engineer - Broadband Customer Experience

About the Role

Join ScottishPower, a proud subsidiary of the Iberdrola Group and a global leader in renewable energy, at our Center of Excellence in Glasgow. We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to revolutionize our broadband customer journeys by working on critical Front Office and Call Centre technologies.

Main Missions

• Design, develop, and support high-impact software solutions covering sales, provisioning, fault management, and customer support.
• Build and maintain scalable, reusable RESTful APIs to ensure seamless system integration.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and operational teams to deliver superior user experiences.
• Integrate complex CRM systems with network providers and manage contact center platforms such as Genesys.
• Perform production incident analysis and drive continuous service improvement to ensure stable and reliable broadband services.

Profile Required

• Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on customer-facing applications.
• Strong ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with both internal teams and external vendors.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and production support.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable code.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design and integration.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database management.
• Experience with CRM systems and Contact Center technologies (e.g., Genesys).
