Software Engineer – Next.js & Playwright

About the role

You will design, build and maintain web applications that power a healthcare automation platform used daily by GP practices. The role spans the full development lifecycle and requires close collaboration with product, engineering and clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer‑facing applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript.
• Create responsive, accessible user interfaces that simplify complex healthcare workflows.
• Design, implement and integrate REST APIs and backend services, working with SQL Server and Azure cloud services.
• Participate in system design discussions and make technical decisions.
• Write automated unit and end‑to‑end tests (Playwright) and conduct code reviews.
• Investigate and resolve production issues with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
• Deploy and maintain applications in Azure, contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps, and monitor performance with observability tools.
• Collaborate with clinicians, product managers and fellow engineers to understand user needs and improve the product.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Next.js, React and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to build and consume REST APIs.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
• Familiarity with modern source control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and collaboration skills.
