Solicitor (0-3 PQE) – Motor & Casualty Litigation

About the role
This position offers a qualified solicitor with up to three years post‑qualification experience the chance to manage a varied caseload of motor injury, fraud and credit‑hire claims within the County Court jurisdiction. You will join Keoghs, a leading provider of legal and claims solutions to insurers and related businesses, working in a supportive, hybrid‑working environment.
Key responsibilities
- Work within the Motor team as an insurance defence litigation specialist, driving cases to completion in line with client instructions.
- Communicate and build professional relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
- Identify next steps, interview witnesses, draft statements and pleadings, and manage case files within agreed authority.
- Liaise with insured parties, insurers, witnesses and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
- Instruct counsel, attend conferences, mediations and court hearings (in person or remotely) and represent clients at trials and settlement conferences.
- Maintain case management systems with up‑to‑date information and ensure compliance with LSNI regulations.
- Meet performance targets and quality standards while adhering to agreed service level agreements.
Required profile
- Law degree and qualified solicitor with 0‑5 years PQE (0‑3 PQE preferred).
- Experience in defence insurance litigation and credit‑hire matters is desirable but not essential.
- Strong telephone advocacy, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and client‑care abilities, with a solid understanding of case law, litigation practice and court rules.
- Proven ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
- Confidence to take initiative, adapt to changing situations and work to agreed targets and SLAs.
- High‑level analytical, research and IT proficiency.
