Special Resource Provision Teacher (Full‑time, SEND)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Special Resource Provision (SRP) Teacher to join our specialist resource provision team, which supports up to 18 pupils with autism and other SEND needs. The role is full‑time and based on‑site, offering the chance to deliver high‑quality inclusive education in a nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality teaching using evidence‑based practice and strong pedagogy.
• Adapt and personalise the curriculum to meet the learning and communication needs of pupils.
• Implement a Total Communication approach, including AAC, visual supports, signing and symbols.
• Lead, direct and coordinate support staff to maximise pupil outcomes and oversee interventions.
• Create and maintain a safe, structured and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and use assessment data to inform planning.
• Manage statutory processes for identified children, including Annual Reviews and provision plans, and liaise with external professionals.
• Share expertise with wider school staff through in‑reach sessions.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience working with pupils who have SEND, particularly autism.
• Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to high standards of practice.
• Ability to lead and develop support staff and work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage statutory responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools.
