Specialist Hygiene Technician – Bristol

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join Rentokil’s Bristol team, covering the PL and EX areas. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene‑related cleaning services, from biohazard and infection control to flood damage and crime‑scene remediation. You will work independently, manage your own schedule and provide expert advice to customers on site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive cleaning assignments across diverse environments, including hospitals, prisons, factories and residential properties.
• Handle biohazard, flood water damage, sharps removal, trauma and crime‑scene cleaning, as well as high‑level and silo cleaning.
• Participate in an on‑call rota (typically twice a quarter) and respond promptly to urgent requests.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional image.
• Follow health, safety and regulatory procedures, including DBS checks where required.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive with strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt working patterns to business needs.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.

• Full UK driving licence (≥2 years, ≤6 points).
• Competence in working at heights and in confined environments.
