Staff Nurse – Vaccination Team (Band 5)

About the role

The NHS Western Isles is recruiting two permanent Staff Nurses to join the Vaccination Team on the Isle of Lewis. Working 36 hours per week, you will help deliver a safe, efficient and equitable vaccination service across the Western Isles.

Key responsibilities

• Administer vaccines to eligible patients in a variety of community settings.
• Collaborate with the Community Nursing Team to ensure seamless service during peak vaccination periods.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to NHS vaccination protocols.
• Promote equitable access to vaccination for all residents of the Western Isles.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC) eligible for Band 5 placement.
• Willingness to register with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Commitment to work on the Lewis vaccination centre and travel across the islands as needed.
