About the role
You will deliver decision‑grade market and competitive intelligence for strategic planning, GTM priorities, and the highest‑value strategic pursuits. You will partner closely with leaders across Corporate Strategy, Sales, Marketing, and ABM to turn market shifts into clear where‑to‑play / how‑to‑win choices and field‑ready guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Own intelligence that informs strategic planning, GTM strategy, and portfolio priorities, translating market signals into actionable recommendations.
- Track and interpret market shifts such as M&A, spin‑offs, partnerships, ecosystem moves, new entrants and competitive disruption, linking implications to AVEVA’s GTM options.
- Provide competitive and market intelligence to regional strategies, supporting senior regional leaders with decision‑grade insights for planning and major plays.
- Deliver intelligence support for high‑value deals and enterprise pursuits, including account landscapes, competitor presence, differentiation angles and objection handling.
- Strengthen positioning for brand campaigns and sales narratives using market, competitive and analyst insights.
- Build and mature intelligence programmes, standards and governance, ensuring quality, relevance and adoption across the organisation.
Required profile
- 8+ years of experience in strategic/competitive intelligence, market intelligence, strategy & insights or related analytical roles, preferably in B2B enterprise or industrial software.
- Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor influencing executives and shaping GTM decisions without people‑management responsibilities.
- Strong exposure to industrial markets such as Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Metals/Mining/Mining, Power, EPC, Marine or Life Sciences.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear executive‑ready narratives and facilitate decision‑making conversations.
- Highly autonomous self‑starter with strong prioritisation, stakeholder management and commercial judgement in matrixed global environments.
