Strategist, Agent Development

About the role

As an Agent Strategist you own how Sierra's AI agents come to life for customers, guiding them from pilot to production handling thousands of conversations daily. You work at the intersection of product, technology and customer‑facing work to solve high‑stakes problems with AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Agent Development Life Cycle from scope, conversation design, tooling, evaluation to launch and continuous iteration.
• Act as trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, shaping AI strategy and understanding success metrics.
• Partner with customer teams daily, run working sessions, troubleshoot issues and keep builds on track.
• Surface unmet needs from customer work to inform product research and platform direction.

Required profile

• Customer obsession with strong communication and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strategic problem‑solving in ambiguous environments and ownership of complex, high‑visibility projects.
• Technical aptitude to engage with APIs, data models and system architecture.

Required skills

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production (evaluation frameworks, RAG, prompt engineering).
• Comfort with reading API documentation and understanding system architecture.
