Supervision Senior Manager

About the role

The Independent Football Regulator is seeking a Supervision Senior Manager to lead its core regulatory activities. You will be at the centre of financial oversight for English football clubs, ensuring compliance with licensing conditions and supporting the regulator’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of clubs, focusing on liquidity, funding structures and prudential health.
• Process licence applications and monitor ongoing compliance with licence conditions.
• Manage day‑to‑day supervisory activities, including account management for individual clubs.
• Develop and implement the supervision strategy in partnership with policy, legal and enforcement teams.
• Build capability, operational processes and controls for effective regulatory oversight.
• Maintain strong relationships with clubs and internal stakeholders to ensure coherent decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial supervision or compliance within a regulated sector.
• Demonstrated sound judgement and ability to work with complex financial data.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across data, policy, legal and enforcement functions.

• Salary £74,210 – £91,915 per year plus an 8% flexible benefit (cash or pension investment).
