Sustainability Coordinator – Architecture

About the role

A leading architecture practice is looking for an ambitious Sustainability Coordinator to support its environmental design strategy in the London studio. You will help embed low‑carbon and regenerative principles across a diverse portfolio of projects, working closely with the Head of Sustainability and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architectural, BIM and sustainability teams to develop sustainable strategies across all RIBA work stages.
• Contribute to projects of varying typologies, scales and locations, from masterplans to large‑scale built developments.
• Establish links with industry, academia and external partners to source innovative solutions.
• Inform project staff on emerging environmental design technologies and standards.
• Support the practice’s CPD programme aligned with the RIBA curriculum and assist with business development bids.

Required profile

• Early experience in sustainability analysis within the built environment.
• Strong technical expertise and a desire to take on greater responsibility.
• Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in high‑pressure environments and work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Qualification in environmental design or architectural engineering.
• Understanding of RIBA stages and the UK construction design process.
• Knowledge of environmental simulation tools, HVAC engineering technologies and UK building regulations.
• Familiarity with sustainability certification programmes such as BREEAM, WELL, Passivhaus, LEED and NABERS.
• Proficiency in design software including Revit, Rhino and BIM platforms.
