Syndicate Accountant (London)

About the role

We are seeking a Syndicate Accountant to join the finance and accounting team of a leading specialist insurer in London. The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, meeting both internal and external regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly maintenance of the syndicates’ ledgers
• Production and submission of annual and quarterly syndicate regulatory returns
• Production and submission of Solvency UK returns for the syndicate platform
• Preparation of quarterly analytical reviews and commentary on syndicate performance and position
• Implementation of new processes to accommodate reporting changes from Lloyd's and other stakeholders
• Documentation and evidence of all reporting controls for review
• Review of information from other departments for inclusion in financial returns
• Liaising with internal and external auditors

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in Lloyd’s and insurance reporting and accounting
• Proven ability to produce and submit regulatory and financial returns
