Tailor-made Travel Expert

About the role

We are seeking a Tailor-made Travel Expert to join an ambitious independent travel company that creates high‑value experiential trips for clients in the UK and US. The role is fully remote and focuses on delivering bespoke wildlife, wilderness and soft‑adventure itineraries, primarily to African and South American destinations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound sales enquiries from first contact through to booking confirmation.
• Develop detailed, customised travel proposals that match each client’s preferences.
• Provide expert destination advice, itinerary planning and itinerary pricing.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with private clients, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Collaborate with ground operators, DMCs and travel partners; attend familiarisation trips to deepen destination knowledge.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives, content creation and social media.
• Hand over completed bookings to the admin and accounts team – no ongoing admin required.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a similar tailor‑made travel sales role.
• Extensive personal travel experience in South America and/or Africa.
• Deep knowledge of wildlife, wilderness and soft‑adventure experiences.
• Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle and meet revenue targets.
