Tax Semi Senior – Personal Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Personal Tax Semi‑Senior to join a well‑established chartered accountancy firm in North London. The successful candidate will become part of a friendly tax team that serves individuals, owner‑managed businesses and SMEs, handling a varied portfolio of personal tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Self‑Assessment tax returns for clients.
• Prepare P11D forms where required.
• Liaise with clients to collect necessary tax information.
• Manage HMRC correspondence and respond to queries.
• Ensure all returns are accurate and filed within statutory deadlines.
• Support the administration of a diverse personal tax portfolio.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years’ experience in personal tax within a UK accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to prepare Self‑Assessment returns.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Professional communication style and ability to meet deadlines.
