About the role
Reed Education is partnering with a forward‑thinking secondary school in Bradford to recruit a Teacher of Humanities for the September 2026 intake. This full‑time position will involve delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, inspiring students to explore history, geography, religious education and related subjects.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver thought‑provoking Humanities lessons for a range of abilities.
- Foster critical thinking, discussion and analysis of global, historical and cultural topics.
- Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Create a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect and open‑mindedness.
- Contribute to enrichment activities and cross‑curricular projects within the school community.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Humanities or a related discipline such as History, Geography or Politics.
- Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Genuine passion for helping students understand the world and their place within it.
