Teacher – Specialist Inclusion Service (Somerset)

About the role

Join Five Rivers' Specialist Inclusion Service in Somerset as a Teacher supporting young people who are currently out of school. You will deliver 1:1, 2:1 or small‑group tuition in community settings and help each learner transition back into their identified school.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised tuition (1:1, 2:1, small groups) in community environments.
• Design and implement therapeutic educational frameworks tailored to each child.
• Support the transition of learners into mainstream or specialist schools.
• Work within a trauma‑informed practice model and adhere to therapeutic guidelines.
• Travel to various outreach locations as required (valid driving licence essential).

Required profile

• Good written communication and IT proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues and external partners.
• Active listening skills.
• Registered with NQTS or QTS.
• Valid driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience in specialist or alternative education provision is desirable.
