Teaching Assessor – Careers Development Professional (CEIAG)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assessor to deliver and assess the Level 6 Career Development Professional Apprenticeship Standard, as well as related Level 3, Level 4 and standalone Level 6 qualifications. The role is home‑based, combining remote delivery with occasional face‑to‑face sessions to support learners and employers.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment across Careers Development programmes.
- Manage a caseload of learners, ensuring timely progress, achievement and completion of qualifications.
- Develop individual learning plans tailored to learner and employer needs.
- Conduct workplace reviews, assessments and observations both remotely and in person.
- Maintain accurate learner records using electronic portfolio systems, complying with funding and quality requirements.
- Support learners requiring additional assistance and promote inclusive practices.
- Collaborate with employers to maximise learner engagement and progression.
- Contribute to quality assurance activities, standardisation meetings and external inspections.
- Meet performance targets related to learner success, compliance, quality and recruitment.
Required profile
- Level 6 qualification in Career Guidance, Learning & Development or equivalent.
- Level 4 teaching qualification (or equivalent).
- Assessor qualification (A1, D32/D33 or equivalent).
- Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.
- Minimum two years’ experience in careers education and apprenticeship delivery.
- Knowledge of End Point Assessment requirements and Ofsted inspection framework.
- Experience supporting SEND and vulnerable learners.
Required skills
- Proficiency with electronic portfolio and record‑keeping systems.
