Teaching Assistant

About the role

Harris Academy Morden is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support individual pupils and groups, ensuring they can access learning in a nurturing environment. The role involves working closely with teachers to deliver tailored support and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support identified students in 1:1, small‑group or whole‑class settings.
• Assist teachers in developing resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies that meet each learner’s needs.
• Help evaluate student progress through agreed assessment activities.
• Provide regular, detailed feedback to teachers on achievement, progress and needs.
• Lead small‑group sessions and targeted interventions.
• Address personal needs of students where required.
• Support behaviour management in line with academy policy.
• Contribute to a purposeful, supportive learning environment.
