About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Chelmsford starting in September. This full‑time position offers the chance to work directly with young learners, develop classroom support skills and benefit from strong mentorship and professional development.
Key responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to primary pupils, assisting teachers with daily activities.
- Help manage behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted).
- Relevant TA training or qualifications desirable.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
- Hold right to work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply.
- Provide two professional child‑related references.
