Team Manager – Families First & Support & Protection

About the role

Our client, Trafford Council, is seeking a Team Manager to lead its Families First and Support and Protection team in Manchester. The position is full‑time and temporary, offering an hourly rate of £42‑£46. The role is advertised through Remedy Recruitment Group, which provides a personal one‑to‑one service from a highly experienced dedicated consultant and gives first access to jobs across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the Families First and Support and Protection team delivering services to vulnerable families.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding standards and the agency’s APSCo commitments.
• Oversee the Enhanced Disclosure process through the DBS for all team members.

Required profile

• Experience in managing teams within social care or related public services.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding vulnerable groups.
• Willingness to register with Remedy Recruitment for locum positions and undertake DBS checks.
