Tech Lead – Remote (UK)

About the role

We are looking for a Tech Lead who thrives on coaching developers, building high‑performing teams and shaping the technical direction of our products. The role is fully remote within the UK, with occasional team days in Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across multiple development projects and workstreams.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, fostering confidence and continuous learning.
• Review code, support architectural decisions and guide technical discussions.
• Collaborate with the Delivery Manager to estimate, prioritise and plan work.
• Remove technical blockers and encourage developers to find their own solutions.
• Improve development processes, coding standards and team practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading or mentoring software engineers.
• Coaching mindset – prefers enabling teams over taking over tasks.
• Ability to balance technical quality with delivery deadlines.
• Belief that successful Tech Leads create self‑sufficient teams, not dependencies.
