Technical Solutions Architect – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Solutions Architect to join a major public‑backed institution on a six‑month contract. Working in a hybrid setting from London (or Sheffield), you will support the Lead Architect across a portfolio that includes deal flow, valuations, portfolio management systems, reporting and emerging AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solution architectures, integration diagrams, data models and non‑functional requirements.
• Translate high‑level architectural intent into actionable designs alongside business analysts, product owners and development teams.
• Map system dependencies across CRM, PMS and reporting platforms and evaluate vendor or platform options.
• Provide architectural guidance for AI‑enabled initiatives and ensure compliance with regulated or public‑sector governance frameworks.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience as a Solution or Technical Architect, preferably supporting a Lead Architect.
• Strong background in financial services, investment or fund management platforms.
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments and deliver within tight timelines.
• Excellent communication skills and a detail‑oriented, self‑sufficient approach.

Required skills

• API design and data pipeline integration patterns.
• Architecture frameworks: TOGAF, ArchiMate, C4, UML.
• Experience with AI‑related architectural considerations.
