Technical Supervisor – MOD NIHL

About the role

The Technical Supervisor will lead a specialised team handling MOD NIHL disease claims, ensuring technical development objectives are met while providing supervision, training and technical support. You will also maintain a reduced personal caseload of NIHL matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide supervision, training and technical support to the claims team.
• Manage a reduced individual caseload of MOD NIHL claims.
• Ensure compliance with internal benchmarks and client expectations, driving settlement and quality delivery.
• Identify and implement learning activities to develop team authority levels.
• Maintain effective communication with the team at all times.
• Review client complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Lead projects and process updates to improve operating practices.
• Ensure adherence to the SRA Code of Conduct 2019.

Required profile

• Experience in file handling of disease claims (essential).
• Technical sign‑off on litigated NIHL matters (essential).
• Proficiency in all stages of the litigation process for disease claims (essential).
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects or teams in the insurance/legal sector (desirable).
• Ability to develop others by identifying learning gaps and planning improvement (desirable).
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experienced with a case/claims management system.
