Telehandler Operator – Part‑time Contractor in Wantage

About the role

Randstad CPE is looking for a safety‑focused Telehandler Operator to join their residential construction team in Wantage. The role is part‑time and contract‑based, offering a rate of £21 per hour, dependent on experience and CIS status.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate the telehandler to load, unload, transport and stack materials across the site.
• Distribute materials to various plots and assist bricklayers, joiners and roofers by placing packs precisely where needed.
• Carry out daily pre‑start safety checks, maintain logbooks and report any defects immediately.
• Support site management with general logistics and, when required, step out of the cab to help manage materials.

Required profile

• Valid CPCS Card or NPORS card (with CSCS logo) for Telescopic Handler (all sizes).
• Proven experience operating a telehandler on fast‑paced residential or major housing developments.
• Excellent spatial awareness and a flawless safety record on site.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full PPE (hard hat, high‑visibility clothing, steel‑toe boots) and eligibility to work in the UK.
