TEM Architect

About the role

The Thermal Energy Management (TEM) Architect will lead the design and optimisation of energy flow in next‑generation electric and hybrid vehicles. Working within JLR’s Product Engineering team, you will combine system‑level modelling, simulation and engineering insight to improve vehicle efficiency and support the transition to sustainable mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system‑level modelling and simulation activities using MATLAB, Simulink and GT‑SUITE.
• Create and optimise thermal energy architectures to enhance vehicle efficiency and performance.
• Develop digital‑twin and physics‑based models for battery systems and thermal management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners to deliver advanced engineering solutions.
• Contribute to research initiatives, innovation projects and future technology roadmaps.

Required profile

• Degree or advanced qualification in an engineering discipline, preferably with a research focus.
• Experience in thermal energy management and vehicle efficiency, ideally within EV or hybrid platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into practical solutions.
• Collaborative attitude and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
