Temporary Cleaning Operative – 1 Week Cover

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cleaning Operative to provide one‑week temporary cover for a commercial office building in Luton. The role starts immediately and offers a supportive environment where you will help maintain a clean and safe workplace for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Clean office areas, including floors, desks and communal spaces.
• Maintain a tidy reception area.
• Clean and sanitise toilets and washroom facilities.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels.
• Vacuum, mop, dust and perform general cleaning duties.
• Report any maintenance or health‑and‑safety issues.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Understanding of health and safety and hygiene practices.

Required skills

• Use of cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, mops, dusters).
• Basic knowledge of health‑and‑safety procedures.
