School Cleaner

About the role

We are recruiting a reliable School Cleaner for a welcoming school in Colne. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils, staff and visitors during the afternoon shift.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas.
• Vacuum, mop, sweep and dust all designated spaces.
• Clean washrooms, replenish supplies and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and store it correctly after use.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning experience (school experience desirable but not essential).
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Willing to complete COSHH training before starting.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for children and staff.

Required skills

• COSHH qualification or willingness to undertake COSHH training.
