Threat Intelligence Analyst

About the role

The Threat Intelligence Analyst will join Hiscox’s Cyber Fusion Centre, supporting the protection, detection and response capabilities that safeguard the business from cyber threats. Reporting to the Head of Cyber Fusion, you will act as the subject‑matter expert on emerging threats, analysing a wide range of intelligence sources to inform cyber‑defence decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full intelligence lifecycle, defining and maintaining intelligence requirements aligned with business objectives.
• Collect and analyse data from open‑source (OSINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), technical feeds, proprietary sources and dark‑web monitoring.
• Develop and sustain a pipeline of new intelligence sources for integration into the Fusion Centre.
• Research patterns, trends and anomalies to assess potential impact on the organisation.
• Produce detailed reports and briefings for stakeholders, outlining threats, impacts and mitigation recommendations.
• Support live incident response by analysing threat origin, motivation and suggesting rapid containment actions.
• Collaborate with Red and Blue teams to improve detection and response capabilities.
• Engage with government agencies and industry groups to share intelligence and enhance collective cyber‑defence.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in cyber threat intelligence or related security roles.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and briefing diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, attending the office at least Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
