Trainee Dispenser – Pharmacy Assistant (NVQ2)

About the role

Join a busy UK pharmacy store as a Trainee Dispenser and support the pharmacist and healthcare team in delivering safe, efficient pharmacy services. You will receive full NVQ2 training, develop patient‑facing skills, and gain hands‑on experience dispensing prescriptions.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training programme.
• Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection.
• Assist other healthcare professionals in managing pharmacy services.
• Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal dispensing.
• Stay updated on store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients with repeat prescriptions and medication adherence.
• Work with new dispensing technologies to improve safety and efficiency.

Required profile

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser NVQ2 programme.
• Current, valid UK right to work (no visa sponsorship).
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.
