Trainee Electrical Installations Technician

About the role

Our client, a leading provider of commercial electrical equipment in London, is seeking a motivated Trainee Electrical Installations Technician. You will join a busy team delivering and installing equipment across North and North West London, gaining hands‑on experience while working a standard 39‑hour week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver electrical equipment to commercial sites and install it on‑site.
• Calibrate equipment, diagnose faults and perform routine testing.
• Attend monitoring visits to verify equipment performance.
• Carry out electrical repairs in the workshop and maintain a clean, serviced company vehicle.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours call‑outs on a rota basis and collect equipment at the end of hire periods.

Required profile

• Full, manual UK driving licence.
• Electrical qualifications such as an NVQ in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Basic experience with machinery control circuits, voltage/current measurement and component handling.
• Knowledge of single‑phase and three‑phase electrical motors.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physical fitness for lifting and occasional work at height.
• Residence within the N postcode area of London.
