Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Manchester

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious graduate‑level individual to join our specialist recruitment consultancy in Manchester. As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant you will work on a dedicated desk within one of our high‑value sectors, learning to place both contract and permanent talent while building your own client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop relationships with hiring managers and candidates in sectors such as Aviation, Construction, Data Centres, Utilities, Fire & Security, and Pharmaceuticals.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation.
• Achieve billing targets and contribute to team revenue through interview‑based commissions.
• Participate in regular training sessions, desk coaching, and mentorship from senior leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of candidate activity and client interactions.

Required profile

• Graduate calibre – degree discipline is not a barrier.
• Highly motivated, competitive and driven by earnings and career progression.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Basic salary £27,000 with OTE £35,000 in the first year.
