Trauma-Informed Lead – Fixed-Term (Birmingham)

About the role
Reed is seeking a Trauma-Informed Lead to drive a college‑wide programme that creates safe, inclusive learning environments. This fixed‑term position (September 2026 – March 2027) will work across multiple campuses, embedding trauma‑informed practices into teaching, support services and everyday student experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver trauma‑informed awareness training to staff across the college.
- Facilitate specialist workshops, reflective practice sessions and development activities.
- Support the development of internal Trauma‑Informed Champions.
- Conduct campus reviews and environmental audits to identify barriers to inclusion.
- Collaborate with curriculum, quality, safeguarding, wellbeing, HR and student services teams.
- Contribute to policy and systems reviews, ensuring alignment with trauma‑informed principles.
- Gather feedback, evaluate impact and recommend future improvements.
Required profile
- Passionate about trauma‑informed practice, inclusion and student wellbeing.
- Experienced communicator with a background in delivering training or workshops.
- Experience supporting young people, adults or vulnerable groups in education, community or wellbeing settings.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence in producing reports and recommendations.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of £15.75 – £18.
- Fixed‑term contract with 36.5 hours per week.
